Add a touch of authentic Cuban passenger rail to your Train Simulator Classic routes with the Silberling Second Class Coaches – Cuban Edition. ✅ Step 1: Locate the Utilities.exe tool
-
Go to the folder where Train Simulator Classic is installed.
By default, it is usually located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks -
Inside that folder, open the Utilities.exe file (this is the official content manager for TS Classic).
✅ Step 2: Install the .RWP file
-
In the Utilities.exe window, click the “Package Manager” tab.
-
Click “Install” at the bottom right.
-
A file browser window will appear — find and select the .RWP file you downloaded (e.g., TGM8km.rwp).
-
Click “Open” and wait for the installation to complete.
You’ll see the new content added to the list once it's installed.
✅ Step 3: Activate the Asset in the Scenario Editor
-
Launch Train Simulator Classic normally.
-
Go to Build > Scenario Editor or open an existing route in Editor mode.
-
On the right-hand side, click the blue cube icon (this is the Object Set Filter).
-
A list of developers/publishers will appear. Look for the name used in your RWP package.
For example:-
Developer: CubaTrainSim
-
Product: TGM8km
(The exact names may vary depending on how the Asset was packaged.)
-
-
Check the box next to it to activate that Asset set.
-
You can now find the TGM8km locomotive and place it in your scenario using the left-side object browser (vehicles tab).
🛠️ Optional: Quick Drive
If the RWP includes Quick Drive consists, go to the Drive menu > Quick Drive, and check if the TGM8km appears in the locomotive selection dropdown.
❓ Having Issues?
-
Make sure you installed the .RWP with Utilities.exe, not just unzipped it.
-
Double-check the Asset folder structure if it's not appearing.
-
If needed, restart the game after installation.
